    Hi

called to this unit on Thursday and found unit trying to go into spin then shutting motor down. Sounded like a taco fault so checked wiring from module through motor and found that I had 132 ohms for taco. Ordered 904/2426/02 time/module from EMW which I fitted today but still have the same problem of motor going into uncontrollable spin.
Will send unit back to EMW to check but is the anything else that could cause this?

Sounds like wiring problem. Have you double checked where wiring is cable tied to motor, they where prone to rubbing through there

    Hi Andy

I checked there and pulled plugs off at both ends to test cables which were OK

What type of motor is fitted. The tacho magnet on the FHP motors can and does come loose but it is not easy to see unless you look very closely.

I have managed to re secure them using loctite in the past, often without having to remove that silly metal disc that holds the tacho in place with reasonable success.

    Hi Jim

I will check when I go back as I only checked coil and did not think of magnet.

The magnets also came loose on the GDA motors, much easier to sort. 🙂
