Zanussi ZWH7148P – Not turning drum

Hi all

our machine as above has intermittently stopped spinning the drum either at low speed or high speed. Instead it sits there whirring away as if its TRYING to turn but not succeeding. Our local repair guy has checked the bushes and says they’re OK (machine is only 17 months old) and having now come back a second time is saying it ‘might’ be the control board but he’s unsure which one (so worried about a lot of expense for something that might not work). Only way to check is use a Zanussi engineer apparently! Do you guys have any other thoughts on what the problem might otherwise be and how we could effect a fix?

Otherwise I’m looking at a new machine again on top of a lot of other electrical items having gone wrong recently!!
