Ive been to look at this hpt F/F today freezer is a frost free running lovely fan ok
Top part is a conventional fridge no holes for cold air to come in , But the fridge is warm as the freezer is ok Im thinking its got some sort of gas blockage stopping the gas going up .The selector for fridge is on 4 but this really shouldnt make any difference as freezer is really cold just wondered if this sounds right or is there something Im missing any help would be good Thanks.Larry.

    Hi Larry

It could be a couple of things.
It could be low on refrigerant,as the freezer coils receive the gas before the fridge, or if it has a divertor solenoid that could have failed. Am not familiar whit that fridge so you would need to check.

Thanks for the reply , There’s no diverter solenoid that I could find anywhere and I don’t think it’s lost gas because the freezer is down to _18 at least .

Will be low on charge. The system feeds the evap in the freezer first the into the fridge. Often the freezer will hold fine as there is enough charge to keep that evap going.

Piece system and get readings from your gauges. If you don’t do system work there is no point going any further as a stat or other forms of temp control would not prevent cooling within the fridge unless a diverted control is fitted.
