Not heating OV getting to element.
element ok continuity and insulation tests ok.
Have fitted a new module 488200 still OV to element.
Pressure system clear and filling to right level.

Trouble is the module is nearly 100 pounds ex vat so will be a big loss for me!

Any one any ideas how to get it heating, could it be the thermostats on top of the heater?

the heating circuit is quite simple and you need to test it all

there is the wiring from the door to the heater
the microswitch on the heater box
    thermostat
    and the heater

make sure the programme you select heats. a lot of programmes do a cold rinse first. so listen for the soap draw to open this is an indication it is on the wash part of the programme
make sure the heater micro is closing. only closes when wash motor starts
the thermostat on top of the box has 2 parts part 1 85 degree stat part 2 ntc. as far as I know the 85 degree stat is in series with the heater

Is all the water from the heat exchanger draining into the tub?

    Many thanks electrofix,

It was indeed the double thermostat at fault with this not heating fault.

Breathed a sigh of relief when she started heating, would have been seriously out of pocket had I not sorted it today.

That’s the first time I have ever known that thermostat to be faulty.
