It was working – and now it doesn’t!
No lights, display or anything – a faint grinding pump whirr when it first went wrong but now dead! I have checked supply fuse etc and the switch seems OK? Traced the red/white supply to the heater unit. I have found that the microswitch at the heater is not being contacted by the small piston arm in the heater unit – I take it this is linked to a sensor – or is the piston operated by water pressure so the heater only comes on if there is a water supply? Anyway, any other ideas or is it new Dishwasher time?

    Thansk for any help

Thinking about it again – it’s actually more likely to be the main switch I guess as a heater fault would give some sort of error message? I don’t get any lights or error messages so I’m thinking main switch or control board problem?
Not sure if it’s co-incedence but we did have a power interuption the day before – DW was off but there could have been a spike when power came back on….I guess it’s possible that could have fushed something.

The symptoms don’t indicate the main Control Module at fault, it’s either the On/Off Switch or the Mains Filter Unit (where the mains cable enters the machine) I reckon 🙂

Thanks for that – I hadn’t got round to having a look at the cord inlet to see what gubbins was in there – off to the Bosch site to see how much those bits will cost!
    Ta muchly
