I had a cooker element changed by what I thought was a reputable company 15 months ago. It failed so I phoned them to be told they only last this length of time, is this correct? Had a new one fitted again today by another company who tell me they should last 5 years plus? 😥

You’re lucky it lasted that long TBH. I have great problems with Neff elements these days (genuine and pattern) as the failure rate is appallingly bad.( Especially the half moon shaped ones)
So I wonder if your “other company” will respond more favourably toward their response when their element fails? Did they give you a 5 year guarantee on it? I can say with some certainty that if it lasts out 12 months then you’ll be very lucky indeed..! 😉

There is no guaranteed life span for an element, like the link don posted it depends on so many things
