    Hi all, I have a DeDetrich DOP440x which had a replacement fan element last month. Today neither the fan or element come on. The oven works ok in all the other modes Grill, ECO, Etc…
    I have noticed that when it’s been switched off and on again the fan does come on for a few seconds so it can work. I have tested the element for continuity and is ok.
    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Sounds like a safety stat issue, had to know though as I’ve no access to tech info on them.

    Would a faulty door lock stop the fan and element from starting.

    Yes a faulty door lock would cause this problem.

    You need to make sure the switch at the top right is not broken off and is being pushed back as you close the door.

    Sometimes the switch can become misaligned.

    So the locking mechanism should be down and push up when the door closes. At the moment when the door is open nothing is visible but you can pull the hook down.

    Yes it sounds like the switch is the problem.
