    Hi – I have a 6 year old BDW13 which has been OK so far but has now developed a problem. The machine starts and we can hear water entering then a buzzing which on the rinse cycle times out and then the drain pump starts and empties the water and the machine bleeps to signify end of cycle. I assume that the motor start capacitor needs replacing but would welcome any help/suggestions. There are no error codes showing.

    Wouldn’t be too sure of that… I could be one of many things including the likes of earth faults

    If it’s buzzing could be jammed. Usually due to half load “gate” breaking free, could be cap, could also be water damage due to leakage through motor bearing.
