Just bought second-hand hotpoint washer, Model WT540 according to facia panel, but according to description on rear of the machine it’s a WF321P.
Also described as WT540 beneath door. Different serial numbers front and back also. The main problem its leaving clothes quite wet after wash and spin. The WT540 has a 1400 spin, but the WF321 only has 1200 spin. Seems probable it had the front panel and facia panel replaced. Is there any other differences between the two models which I can check to ascertain which model it really is? ❓
Re: second-hand washing m/c with two serial numbers
The two are almost identical apart from one have alphabetical programme listings, the other numerical. It could possibly be a factory refurb. One things for sure, if it works then it’s a bonus. Hotpoint’s are notoriously unreliable and to find a secondhand one that actually works an achievement. Well done but try to avoid looking this gift horse in the mouth any more. 😉
