    Morning All,

last week our washing machine caused a mcb to trip out, when I sorted that out it was displaying E01, which according to the error code help suggests that there is a problem with the door interlock.

So I replaced that module but it still displayed E01, investigating further one of the fuse tracks on the controller PCB had blown. So I’ve replaced that this morning but on doing a test (did drain program first, then a rinse and spin) then same fuse track has blown again, along with the other one.

    Any suggestions

    Cheers

Sounds like a motor fault. When it blows the board to bits it shows a door lock error just to keep you guessing! Had it on many occasions. Check the rectifier pcb also as it tends to affect that too.

    Hi Nige,

is the rectifier PCB mounted on the motor? Apart from the controller I’ve only seen the RF suppression cap.

    Hi Nige,

OK the rectifier has 3 burn out tracks, I can’t see any scorching on the motor.

So is the root cause here the rectifier, or would something else have drawn too much current to burn out the rectifier?

    Cheers

Yes the motor fault draws too much current and blows the rectifier.
