I have a problem with a Bosch dishwasher that has started to smell. I first noticed this a few weeks ago after it had completed its wash cycle. As soon as you open the door at the end of the cycle there is an unpleasant smell. I have checked and cleaned the filters, run all sorts of cleaners through it and they only fix the problem for a few washes. The only other thing I have noticed is that there is always about 1″ of water left in the filter recess after a cycle. Is this normal?
Check along the bottom of the door for any dirt/grime there and if required give it a clean.
You can also try Finish dishwasher cleaner, works wonders. 😉
There is usually some water left in the bottom of the machines but I am not familiar with that model so I don’t know how much you should see there, Martin or Penguin may be able to answer that one.
Does your drain hose go into a fitting on the side of the sink outlet ? as sometimes you can get a smell back through that ,Failing that a run through with a dishwasher cleaner should shift any nasties from inside
