    7OFFHi first time poster…

    I have an old Ariston LSI 45/50 dishwasher which suddenly stopped allowing me to select program cycles. It only has two buttons, one is ON/OFF and the other is the P for program selection.

    Yesterday it surprisingly let me select a cycle and it completed it successfully. Today it doesn’t let me select anything.

    I have done and checked the following:
    – Checked the pumps, all are in tip- top condition
    – Checked the float switch, appears to be working properly.
    – Checked the PCB on the door, looks brand new (no soiling or anything).
    – Checked the hoses for blockage, none found.
    – Reset the PCB by holding the P button with ON together (does a beep) but doesn’t help.


    Any ideas what could be wrong??? Some safety switch must be preventing it from starting. There are no leakages I could find…

    Broken wire in the door or earth fault on heater or wash motor would cause this. If you don’t have a megger then disconnect heater and see if you can select prog. then try same with wash motor to eliminate.
