    fITTED AN ELEMENT TO A SMEG OVEN. sWITCHED IT BACK ON SET THE TIMER AND THE ONLY THING THAT HAPPENED WAS THE FAN FOR THE GRILL RAN CONTINUOS AND THE OVEN LIGHT WAS ON. TURNED THE DIAL FOR THE OVEN AND NOTHING. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL.

    Turn your caps lock off for starters.

    When the element blew it may have fused the selector switch? The thermal trip could be O/C? Or you may have wired it up incorrectly? That’s should cover all possibilities I would think. 😀
