    Hi there,

I have a Bosch WEG 2460 washing machine and it has served me well over the years with no complaints, but yesterday it was on spin cycle and suddenly there was this very loud banging noise comming from the machine and i had to stop the cycle.

I sometimes have to fix machines at work so i’m not scared of a screwdriver, i confess i removed the top to look inside. The noise seems to be comming from the inner drum hitting something on the way round and i’m guessing it’s a bearing thats gone but wanted some advice before i go out a buy a new one.

😀 Thanks for your time and any advice you can give,
    Sue

what worries me here is your description. has the machine made normal sounds and then suddenly started banging. if so it sound more like your drum spider has failed or your heater has hit the drum. spin the drum by hand and watch the front of the silver drum. does it turn evenly or does it seem to wobble. if it wobbles then is the spider
tried looking up model but could not find it

    go to

    http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/spare … ki=weg2460

put in you Enr and it should show how machine breaks down
