    Hi All,

Ive been struggling to get my Indesit IN C 265 AI thermostat connected up.

There are 3 numbered terminals sticking out of the thermostat. They are numbered 3, 4, and 6. I need to connect up the live brown wire, the black compressor wire and then the internal fridge light wire which is also brown.

I made note of the earth so no need to worry about that and im pretty sure i have the compressor connected up ok. The problem i have is that when the compressor switches off because the fridge is at the right temperature the internal fridge light switches off as well.

The middle terminal on the thermostat has double connectors and i am wondering if the fridge light needs to share this with the live connection.

Please help, it seems every combination i try is incorrect.

    Thanks

Have you changed the thermostat? Have you changed it like for like? What make is it?
If you can get the compressor to run and if the appliance seems to work, then tagging the light wire with the live wire should work.
The only difference will be that the light would stay on when you turn the appliance off at the thermostat.
When you say that you have a thermostat with a double connection, it’s likely that you have a danfoss thermostat. This is switched between 3 and 4, ie live wire to 3 and compressor wire go 4.
Obviously, lamp wire to other connection.
