    Hi, my 2 year old Indesit WD12 is steaming from the detergent drawer when drying. An engineer came around earlier today and replaced a fuse on the dryer (apparently only lasts 2 years!). When drying some clothes this problem has occured – and I’ve never seen it do this before. Does anone know what the problem is please?

    I would suggest you ask the engineer to call back again and check the dryer properly as it sounds like it’s blocked in the condenser, which may well have caused the thermal fuse to blow in the first place.

    Thanks for the info – I’ve just called the indesit helpline and they are getting the engineer back tommorow. Thanks once again for the help.

    Ive just replaced the thermal fuse in my WD12 and its steaming.

    How do i check for blockage in the condenser?

    Take it out and have a look basically, also check that the fan/fan housing isn’t clogged with fluff 😉

    If you’re unsure, please check the repairs@ link at the bottom of my post for an engineer.

    Are the fill hoses correctly fitted ie blue to cold and red to hot??
