    Bosch SMS40C02GB/03 freestanding dishwasher. FD9107.

Machine is just out of warranty and is leaking quite badly. The seal between the stainless tank and the plastic base is letting by. The groove in which the seal sits has splayed out in several places and crusty deposits are around these areas. I have sealed one of these machines before and it was a pig of a job to stop it leaking.
Is it a known fault with this type? Is there any solution apart from the ‘cabinet off’ I did last time? What’s Bosch’s fix for it? Also concerned that if the groove is splayed, there is not really anything structural to hold the cabinet in place compressing the seal and avoiding possible recurrence.

    Any help please!

    Thanks,

    Steve.

I have the exact same problem with the same machine, has anyone came up with a solution yet other than scrapping it

I can’t be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain if this kit fits your particular machine but Bosch did come out with 11026549 which contains a couple of metal bars to stop the cabinet splaying out as well as some other sealing bits.
