ParticipantMy ISE W256W washing machine has developed a leak, I think it is from the hose which connects the detergent drawer to the drum.
I carried out the following checks.
Machine empty and everything dry, selected rinse and spin and allowed the machine to fill to its normal level with water, no sign of leaking, then it started its rinse cycle with the drum rotating and water started dripping from the front left corner so I drained the washer.
Once empty and off, with the door open I had a quick look down the gap between the drum and front and saw water down the inside front panel left hand side as looking from the front.
I will be calling the engineer tomorrow and was wondering if this is a big job (i.e.washer out from its difficult to remove location), or does the whole front remove since I spotted the two screws underneath at the front whilst investigating the leak.
I really don’t want to have to remove the washer from where it has been fitted which is one of the reasons I bought this particular washer as I did not want to keep having to remove it for repairs.
This is the first problem I have had with this machine, and to be honest I think the GF may have overloaded it (3 pairs of jeans shirts underwear etc, even though the gap at the top was still 10cm from the top of the drum). What do others think, could this have been the cause?.
Thank youregards
Andrew

Overloading can cause it, you’d get it to leak on spin if it were that.
Run it through a program empty first and see if there’s a lot of foam there as well as in concert with the above it can cause small leaks.

Too busy to arrange visit today (only worked 16.5 hrs today!) but did carry out some further checks when I got home, I remember yesterday thinking that I’ve never seen the water level so high before so tried the same test today, selected rinses and turned the washer on.
When the water got to above 1/3 rd of the way up the glass rapidly approaching 1/2, I turned the machine off quickly and drained it down.
I think I may have found the problem, and maybe tomorrow I may have time to call the engineer.September 29, 2014 at 10:54 pm #419733kwatt

The only way I can think of that happening is if the pressure switch hose is blocked somehow.
