Hello, I have a 2 year old dishwasher and can not get the operating push button to work and switch on, can anyone advise me please

You can’t get it to turn on? Have you checked the wall socket? The plugtop fuse? Fed the coin meter?
For further help do please give us the model number of your appliance. 😀

the wall plug is in and switched on, i can then press the unit on (with difficulty) and the red light comes on, thats ok, then you have to press another button for it to wash thats the button that i cant get to press on.

Not sure if you have already had a read of THIS
It was written in 2011 but most of what is said there still holds true today, including their dishwashers. They are cheap, poorly constructed Chinese appliances. The lack of any real response to your questions reflect that. A large part of the independent trade, myself included will not touch them TBH.
