Hi, I have an indesit iwme147.
Today it started making funny noises when in use. And then when the wash finished it hadn’t drained away.
This has happened before, but I just put it on a spin&drain and everything was ok.

Today when I put if on spin&drain, it was just making lots of noise, no spinning and no draining.
I googled it, ended up draining from the filter and cleaning that out, was a little bit of plastic in there.

I then put it on spin&drain and it worked fine.
I then did an empty rinse&spin and it didn’t drain. Then I did a spin&drain and was ok.

I then did an empty daily wash and it didn’t drain and some lights we’re flashing (as in picture) this has happened every time it hasn’t drained.

So tried rinse and spin and it hasn’t drained and lights flashing again.
Wondering if maybe pumps gone, or if anyone can help me try find a solution.

Can’t seem to find anywhere that says what the flashing lights could signal.

The red lock light flashes fast, and the 2 green ones flash a bit slower. One’s a stained t shirt, the other is the rinse light.

    Thank you

Assuming that picture is on its side then you have lights 2 and 4 flashing slowly which signifies a pressure switch stuck on full. In other words it’s is not emptying.

Either the pump is faulty or there is a blockage elsewhere.

When you remove the pump filter you need to shine a torch right inside the pump housing to make sure there are no objects such as bits of bra wire or hairgrips in there.

When I first checked I found a couple of little bits in there. But took them out. And still not working properly.

I just checked again. All looks clear, and I can spin the propeller with my finger. It sorta flicks round every quarter turn as I assume it should.

Pic wasn’t on side, that’s top of machine, lights going across. Think it is 2 & 4 light. Plus door lock light.

    Will attach pics

    Thank you

??? Both of your pictures of the lights are on their side on my iPad, main PC and my smartphone screens. :con:

Pump looks clear but could be worn or have failed electrically. You could also have a blockage between the drum and the pump or between the outlet pipe and the undersink plumbing, assuming it is plumbed in that way.

Oh, that’s strange. I uploaded from my iphone and is right way up on my screen.

I see it’s sideways on your pic.

It is plumbed in under the sink, the hose is extended under my units. I’ve taken the hose apart at union and blown down it to the sink. And can hear it blow through the trap. So that part of hose isn’t blocked.

I will pull it all out properly tomorrow and check all other hoses. If I can’t find a blockage. Maybe I’ll have a go at replacing the pump?? Hoping I might be able to pick one up locally. So can do it Tomoz, cos back at work Wednesday.

    Thanks for your help
