Just wondering if any one else has had any faulty Beko grill elements? part number 300180414.

I’m on my 5th one now and all of them are failing a earth test when warm. All of these elements have been heated for 30mins plus, but made no difference.

They start with a mega reading of 7.00 when cold, but when heated are reading 00.0. And tripping.

spoken to the suppliers (Connect) who say they have had no other ones returned.

Standard reply from Connect. The best defence is denial after all. In truth we know differently don’t we. The fact is all oven elements irrespective of make, pattern or genucrap all are a risky investment. Your tale typical, try getting a refund from Connect and we will all follow on behind you. 😉

Connect are talking ballocks. I had the exact same problem last Christmas with 4 different elements they sent so I went to the warehouse and tested 5 elements they had in stock and all had the same fault. So that was 9 in total, and the part number was 300180414
The girl on the trade desk said to me that they all look OK :rotfl:

I gave up in the end.

Try a different supplier – Qualtex have stock. Might have something to do with the way Connect store them?

We tried one from Qualtex but had the same issues.
It’s a long shot but if anyone reading this has one of these elements in stock and are willing to heat test it first we would be very interested in purchasing from you. 😕

It’s pretty simple for you to “heat test” elements yourself. Essential actually as most elements these days have issues all the while. I lay mine on the concrete garage floor, insulate the terminal, plug into my Safeblok extension lead and fire it up. Leave it on long enough to do some toast, switch off power and eat toast whilst it cools….simples!

Sorry, we have heat tested all the ones we have received and that’s why we are aware they are faulty. But if someone has one of these elements on the shelf that they would be willing to heat up and test to make sure of it’s quality we would be interested in purchasing.

If anyone else gets this problem.

We solved it by fitting a ELE8827, A little bit of bending the support bar, and made a bracket for the back (single centre screw fitting).

well well,i’m having the same issue, bought x2 off Qualtex and now the one off connect has the same issue…once heat is applied,it’s straight down to earth.
Pre heating on the work bench makes no difference at all.

I had the same fault with a Beko grill element in November and now will be 4th visit on a Rangemaster base element.

Perennial problem…no doubt due to cold warehouse storage.

Just do as Martin suggests…the earth fault usually does get much worse at first but then improves to the point it disappears.
