Belling 6060C WH electric cooker. A302847.
At first, this may seem an easy, straightforward job.
Well….not so. :clown:
What should happen is when you turn on a hotplate or oven, the fluorescent tube behind the control panel flickers into life. Well the tube was black at the ends….changed that – still the same. Changed the starter….. still the same. OK… sourced a new ballast from the internet and fitted that…. still the same. 👿 Swapped about the parts in all combinations and the only way to get the flashing to stop is to put two controls on at the same time. 😕 The PCB at the back of the cooker has a slightly blackened terminal marked ‘L’ but the rest of the machine works fine. The ballast takes a supply from this board. Any ideas if this could be causing this fault?
I have never ever had any issues with these in 31 years in this trade. Simple tube or starter swap job normally.
Anyone help on this? These cookers were commonplace 10 years ago……… 😐 That and I hate being beaten!!
Cheers,
Steve.
