Sometimes when I do my washing there is a smell of burning plastic in the room, and being in their can leave you lightheaded. Anecdotally I think the smell is more likely to occur when I do a big wash i.e. towels etc, but it sometimes occurs with smaller loads. Any help would be much appreciated, regards October 2, 2014 at 3:27 pm #419909 timdowningParticipant Re: John Lewis JLWM1407 burning smell Have you checked the mains socket / plug for signs of overheating?
