Hi Guys, Does anybody have any Admiral sal2027gbs info, ie diagnostic button sequence.I am suspecting the Main PCB as it does not defrost, the heater is fine (powered independantly) and I have changed the thermostat block as I had irratic meter readings, Also it sometimes takes about 40 mins to come back on from a power off …as if it is on a defrost but with no heat.

Sounds like the main pcb is acting up.
This is a Whirlpool variant and will suffer from all the usual problems.
If you are not up to repairing electronics then you can order up a rebuilt board from ebay for about £90.00.Steve

There is a diagnostic on later models.
I don’t have the numbers with me at the moment but it is accessed like this.
Switch on at mains.
Open freezer door and press light switch 3 times within 10 seconds.
Freezer display will count down from 07 to 00.
I can’t remember the rest but if you don’t get a display then your version doesn’t have the diagnostic.Ps you will get a better response to all questions if you post in the trade only forums.
