F & P DW920 dishwasher – low water level – poor cleaning

Hi there,

I have a F&P DW920 dishwasher that’s not even filling water above the “plate filter” before it starts to pump and wash the bits in the baskets (not so well by the way). It seems the water level is much lower than it was in its earlier years of operation. I recall the water level was much higher than now, closer to the heater element height (approx 10-20 mm higher than now). The machine is now 12+ years old, and we would like to keep it if I can economically fix the problem – its been a good machine.

On a handful of occasions it has come up with a U1 fault on the display lately, but after power off/on it cleared that problem.

Spray arms and plate filter have been cleaned thoroughly. I have also checked water supply – all it is flowing fine.

Any idea as to cause/s. Does anyone have a service manual for it that they can send me, please. Any help would be appreciated.
