    Bosch WVF2402GB/02 washer drier. FD8403.

Had to replace the condenser unit as the brackets had all sheared off and everything was just flapping around inside.
All new parts fitted up – runs fine on the wash then torrential flood from the left side on the rinse. 👿 Leak tracked to the grommet type hose (172286) that fits from the tub to the condenser; tiny split in the top next to the tub. OK…. the condenser was a pig of a job to do first time…. and now I have to do it all over again. :haier:
The hose seems to have a collar inside the tub; I daren’t move it as it looks like a complete tub strip down if that goes missing. The collar (or “interlock system” 095195) does what exactly? It looks in the photo as if it turns to lock the hose in…… but the hose end is a grommet type fit. Do I need to move the ring? And how the hell do you get to it if you have to turn it or replace it?
Any help on this before I remove the hose please?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

The lock ring holds it in place from the inside. The drum has to come out Steve for access. 🙁

Thanks Martin – as I feared! This seemingly straightforward job is like a Russian doll – as you clear one problem you find more and more problems. I thought it was only Siltal who were stupid enough to do this with the locking collar on the sump hose….. sometimes don’t you just wish you could simply walk away……….. 🙁

    Cheers,

    Steve.

I had to change a door seal on one this week, thought that was a pig of a job as well, are these things Smeg made?

I think this one is possibly a Balay Jim; but I know the one you mean. I had to do a Neff one like that and it took me ages. That was a Smeg clone.
I absolutely hate Smeg stuff – it’s difficult to work on, has stupid faults and the parts are megabucks. I have a notice on my office wall – No Smeg. I’d rather not get involved with them; but when I weaken and ‘do a favour’ for someone it always end with me saying “Why did I bother?”
Unfortunately the odd clone gets through……. 😈

rather do a SMeg one than the heap of crap in the thread title….
as for that hose, even the dispenser hose has the retainer in the tub. I tried to do one once with just the front plate off but no luck, had to bite the bullet and pull the inner drum out as there was just not enough room. Have to admit though, once you do a condenser once on these its actually quite an easy job.
