Miele wt946i leakage from pump on drum

My Miele novotronic produced the red drain fault light, last week and I found that the float level switch in the bottom tray was operating. On inspection it seems that water is dropping down a hose in the top left of the machine (at the back) and that this is the bottom hose of two from a pump bolted to the drum assembly. Does anyone have knowledge of this problem and do I have to remove the drum to get at the screws that are very close to the back of the machine? The water is coming from the bottom of two hoses and it tapers two thirds of the way down. ( I now know how to remove the front of the machine.) Many thanks, David.
