    Hi,

I’m looking for an 1100/1200mm range cooker. I’ve used the search tool and in the past, Mercury were always recommended over Rangemaster if you could afford it, but I understand the quality on the former has dropped after they were bought by Aga, but the price has remained the same.

Is the price difference still worth it? Would I be better off saving my money and going for the cheaper Rangemaster? How about Falcon? How do they compare to both Mercury and Rangemaster? What are the extras, or is it just a generally more solid build quality? Is there anything else I should be considering in the £2-3.5k price range?

Also, there are refurbished Falcons on ebay for about £1300. Are they worth looking at? Worst case scenario, how much more could I end up spending if I run into problems with one?

    Many Thanks
