Hello folks,
My girlfriend’s small dishwasher (it apparently a Compact as it sits on the sink) has stopped working as it needs salt, from what we understand. She’s bought a large bag of dishwasher salt and i’ve scoured the instruction manual to find where it’s supposed to be added.
The only thing i’m having a bit of trouble with is that when i open up the compartment it’s to be poured into, this appears to be full of water already. The instruction PDF claims that one litre of water followed by one kilogram of salt are to be added, but it’s already chock full of H2O. I’ve been advised by two separate sources (not Bush as i cannot find a support contact for their appliances) that this is, in fact, normal. Unfortunately, dishwashers are currently out of my comfort zone, so i’ve been hunting around for any further reading on the subject, without any luck as yet.
I wanted to pose the question here on the off chance that this is a straightforward issue which i as a layman may just be ignorant of.
I don’t have the serial or product number, i’m afraid. I do know it’s a Bush Compact Dishwasher, but that’s about it.
If this query is in part or as a whole incorrectly posted, or there is something relevant on the site that i have missed, i will apologise in advance – however, i have been through what i can via the Search functionality, and read the posting guidelines, so if i have missed a trick in creating this entry, it is as honest a mistake as i’ve been able to make <:)
