I had to remove the board behind the programme selector switch, (its a rotary type switch, with contacts that directly touch the board). As well as selecting the programme, the switch powers the machine up.
After refitting the board, the washing machine now doesn’t power up. Does anyone have any experience with these rotary type switches, or offer any possible solutions.?
from what i can see the whole front board is not that expensive
part no 41035005
but
it depends on what you mean about wont power up
do you mean
A no light or power at all
B has light but wont start programme
if it A then this front panel is only a slave board and the is a link between the 2 boards. make sure the wire is secure at both ends
if it B then it could be just the front board if you have made a mess of the switch
first check the wire that goes between the panel and the main pcb. its very likely you have disturbed the connection one end or the other. also check there is power coming in. would not be the first time a customer was going to scrap a machine for a faulty socket
