ParticipantHi,
I have the above dishwasher and whenever it is draining or filling it pulses and takes a long time to finish a cycle. When it pulses the power light on the front of unit is pulsing too. I have taken the inspection cover off the bottom of the dishwasher and there is a good half an inch of water in there. Is that normal? Ive dried that out any way. Is it the pump causing the issue or is something else?
Thanks,
Matt

sound like a power supply fault on the main control board
you say it takes a long time to do the cycle. if this is the fault its a miricle it even gets into the cycle

It always gets through the cycle, just takes a while. I think maybe once or twice it has turned itself off during the cycle but I can just switch it back on and it carries on through the cycle.

still has all the hallmarks of the main control board being at fault

Thanks Dave. Is the control board behind the handle and power button? I’ve just removed the panel and can see a component (which I think might be the control board) where there a few cables plugged into it. It has a scorch mark on the outer plastic cover. I presume that doesn’t sound good!!
Thanks.

it does sound like a power supply problem which may be fixable but if you have to buy a new noe then yes i would be sitting down.
there is a firm that repairs some of these boards
you could try asking

A quick look around and it seems a replacement is anywhere between £120 and £160. I couldn’t justify spending that on an old dishwasher….I’d rather buy a new dishwasher. But I do like the sound of a repair, if it’s economical. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

Any idea how I can be certain the board has failed? I don’t want to get it repaired or even replaced only to find out it wasn’t the issue.
Thanks.

ring up QER most of the thing they repair they make a test rig. so they can test your board first and charge you a test fee if its ok.
you wont know till you ask but from what you say i think i know which component has failed but i would have to see the board to be certain
