    Hi there,

I have an LG gwl227hbqa fridge freezer and have noticed that the tray that makes the ice within the dispenser has become twisted and jammed upon turning.

Is this easy enough to replace myself? If so would I need the ice maker part alone or both the ice maker and assembly?

    Hope you can help 🙂

Sometimes you can take them apart and unjam the motor.

If not you will need an ice maker assembly.

    Easy to replace.

Thanks very much for getting back to me. Would that just be this or is there another part I would need also?

    Thanks again 🙂

    Hi again,

Hoping you can still help me. I have replaced the ice making part inside my freezer. When turning it on it did twitch as though power had entered the part. However, when pushing the test button the tray fails to move. Is this normal if I have had the freezer off while replacing the part? Or does this mean that it is more a computer fault than a part fault?

    Hope you can help.

    Laura
