    Hi forum,
AEG Competence 5211V-W, electric dual oven
    Typ 54 ODL 92 GR
    KD 940.313 032-097/696715

I was letting bottom (main fan) oven do its self clean for 40 mins and had it turned to S= grill + fan oven and temp max 275. When I came back to check all was well, it wasn’t:
No oven light, no fan, no grill. The oven was very hot as would be expected when the catalyic panels self clean but I fear I might have burnt it out by having the S(grill plus heat) setting enabled and it killed something.
Clock and timers work OK, top oven, hobs and grill all work OK including fan for top oven.
The main oven selector dial light works but no heat, or fans.
Interestingly there is a small electronic beep when I turn bottom oven selector to off position.

I’m guessing and hoping that to trip all of main oven light, grill, fan and elements a thermo cut-out has worked as designed. Would this please be correct assumption, do you stock it and where will I find it to replace please?

    Many thanks in advance

There are two thermal fuses fitted, right hand side looking from the front to each oven cavity, both are this one:

If that pops it should cut power to the oven.

Many thanks for such a swift response. So this safety cut-out might have tripped all power to elements, lights, fans etc.. seems to make sense. I will place the order asap. Great service. I could not find a parts diagram anywhere on web for this unit.

How do I access this thermal cut-out, as I assume it’s then on RHS outside main oven cavity but inside unit shell? Top off, hobs off.. back off?

And which item number please for the approx 1 cm screws that hold in place catalytic panels inside oven please as I’ve lost a few over the years?

And lastly what type of glue holds in place the main fan oven door seal please as its drooping? will any heat resistant glue work?

    Huge thanks in advance

This is about as much as I have to go on…

The thermal fuse is shown as 661194751 and the arrangement is the same for the top cavity. I’d presume access is with the RHS panel removed.

I can’t locate a part number for the screws so, a local hardware store will be your best bet for those.

Oven door seals are usually no glued but they will sag over time, that’s just wear essentially. The only solution is to replace it.

Huge thanks for such truly excellent service. I ordered and quickly received the fuse you highlighted and had it fitted within minutes. All fixed.
Will gladly use and recommend you next time.
