Hi all,
My 7 year old Miele Platinum 6 needs a repair and I am considering either to repair (£250) or replace, not massively concerned with the budget was looking at WMH 120 WPS was just wondering if it’s worth spending the additional £1k over and above the cost of repairs, obviously the new machine I would get a 5 year warranty included. Has the technology improved enough to warrant the additional cost. Any comments would be appreciated.

How do you know the repair cost will total £250?
What happens if it costs even more once the repair work begins?
In its 8 years service has it been flogged to death with daily wash loads?
If money is of little concern then why ask? Go get a new one. 😀
Personally speaking I would take the repair option, but then I couldn’t afford to spend over a grand on a new one anyway.

Simple, miele repair with additional 1 year warranty, fixed cost. That answers your second point as well.
Yes 2 kids used 2/3 times a day but it has been well looked after.
Money is always a concern 🙂 I can afford to buy a new one, but at the same time I’m not stupid enough to to spend that amount for the sake of it. I have no doubt mine can be fixed and will run fine it’s just looking over a longer term and if the technology has improved enough to make a difference. I am happy to upgrade if it is worthwhile rather than for the sake of it.I was hoping that a few forum members might have upgraded or own the new range which would give me more of an idea what to do! I’m looking for advice to help make an informed decision 8)
