ParticipantMy Miele T260 no longer has any sign of life on the timer panel. Neither the 7 seg display or leds on this side illuminate.
The Programme dial back-light and the indicators to the right of it function. I checked voltages on the pcb under the lid. They seemed to be ok. Connectors on said pcb are tight. Not sure how to get at the front board. I wondered if I had disturbed something when moving the machine – sliding it along the floor.

i cant see that moving the machine around would cause this so you are looking at a paossible pcb failure.
dont know on this machine but when you use it normally does the diplay go out when you open the door. only ask because my miele washer goes blank when door is open. poss door switch problem?Dave

I had this fault and have just fixed it. With this problem the program dial lights up and the Finish light is on but you are unable to get any of the lights on the right hand side of the control panel to come on (e.g. start) with either the door open or closed. As such you can’t start the dryer. In my case the problem was the female part of the door lock. To access the machine I firstly removed the front metal panel of the machine by 1) removing the bottom front plastic strip panel which has 2 torx hidden behind 2 plastic screw covers, 2) removing the 4 torx screws at the bottom of the front metal panel 3) removing the door (two torx screws) 4) removing all the other torx screws visible on the front metal panel. At this stage I pryed the front panel away from the machine very carefully using a plastic tool, at the joins of the front and side panels at the bottom (there are two hidden plastic retaining plugs that you cant see that hold it on). The front panel could then be removed. At this stage I removed the plastic ‘interlock’ component into which the male part of the door lock fits. The interlock part has a door opening wire and an electrical connector that are easily removed. I then snapped open the interlock, carefully using a screwdriver and gave it a thorough clean. There is a plastic part inside it that is meant to swing down under gravity, next to the internal electrical switch. In my case dust/fluff was preventing this movement and it was sticking. With a thorough clean and reassembly the dryer is all now working fine. Hope this helps.
