Anyone help please. Dad’s washing machine only runs at slow speed. It won’t “shift” up to any faster speed.
It’s pumping water out ok, tried different programs, tried it empty but the same.
It’s a Bush 1400rpm modelbn146ca2, think about 5 years old. Not sure worth getting someone out as was probably about £250 then.
Need to know asap, as probably most! if it’s worth trying to fix or get new one on order asap.

to be honest they are known for being complete junk. if he has had it five years then that’s really good most don’t see the guarantee out
pay a bit more and get a bosch machine bit more reliable and you can get parts if you need them unlike the bush

I agree, but try telling your elderly father that ha ha.
I agree on Bosch, it’s what I have now.

you can look at the normal things
1 filter ie is water going out quick enough
2 load only washing for 1 person may mean the loads get out of balance more easily and machine will not spin. try with nothing in
3 i dont know with bush but is there either a knob to vary the spin speed or a button to turn off the spin? Lost track how many times have been called out to machine only to find the spin turned off normally by grand kidsDave
