Candy GrandO GO DF 800 progamme faults and other issues.

We’re having trouble with our above washing machine.
It’s been going on for a while but now it’s getting worse!
The main faults are,

The selector knob position on the dial doesn’t select the required programme. Say for a quick wash, it will select a 2.30+hr programme.

When a programme is selected with a shorter wash cycle, it will continue to was for hours.

Clothes are not spun off dry on a high rpm spin cycle.

Clothes often have a damp smell about them sometimes.

On a few occasions on a higher rpm spin, there will be some smoke and a burning smell within the drum.

I have no issues replacing any parts, as I am a qualified maintenance fitter (all be it in production maint) I am just unsure of the parts required to be replaced and don’t want to waste money on non required parts!

Is it best to junk the m/c and buy new?
