    Hello, Hotpoint WD51 washer drier.

Goes through a complete wash perfectly well gets to the end of the full cycle and then trips my earth leakage trip switch thingy. A real mystery as ot only happens once the cycle if finished?? No problems opening the door etc.

    Any ideas?

Probably a chaffed wire near the motor connector. Unplug machine if investigating.

if you don’t find any chafed wires near the motor then I would change the door interlock even though it appears to be opening correctly.

Thanks for the replies chaps. I did suspect the door interlock, I just put my multimeter (set on the highest resistance) on the live and earth pins of the plug and opened and closed the door a few times. I got a slight fluctuation on the needle which might be signalling a fault so I will investigate, I’ll also check the motor wiring but I’d expect that to produce the fault as soon as the motor got power not just at the end.
