The bottom oven has stopped working on our cooker, no fan, no light, no heat, not even the indicator lamp on the front lights up. I had a read of some of the posts on this forum and it looks like the thermal cutout has gone, so I got a new one, but I’ve got the back off the oven and I can’t for the life of me see where it’s supposed to go?

In the photo right hand side with red sleeve covering it and screwed to metal plate holding the fan as well.

Thanks Lee. Now I look at it, the plate the red thing is attached to is the same shape as the one in the packet & tracing the wires back into the machine they match the extra wires that come in the packet too.

I’m just waiting for a pair of hands to hold the hob up & I can fit it, thanks again for your help.

Ok, that’s disappointing, the bottom oven still doesn’t work.

So far it’s had a new element and now a new thermal fuse (I’ve metered the fuse I’ve just taken out and the fuse is still good), is there anything else it can be?

You sure the timer isn’t on auto. Would need resetting if cooker has been off
