ParticipantHi,
Been out of the game for a while but still occasionally get the tools out for the usual friends and family jaunts.
My machine this time!
A very reliable Miele W806.
Machine over filling and/or not spinning and door not opening.
If turned off and left for a while it would seem pressure eases and will then move on.Silly question I know but where is the pressure chamber?
Lack of space in the flat has me hoping it’s via the front panel.Any advice greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
Regards,
Gary

front off, just next to the heater. Beware though the dreaded underfill fault after cleaning which needs re setting by a Miele man with laptop…. hopefully you will be alright but would suggest testing the heater while you are in there.

Thanks eastlmark.
Not familiar with the “dreaded underfill fault” (or much else nowadays!). Would you kindly elaborate, please?
Chamber was blocked so cleared and all appears okay now e.g. water came in to a reasonable ‘below drum rim’ level, heated, drum action and drained. Better half trying full wash tonight.
(Heater 22ohms. Didn’t test sensor )Many thanks for the advice. 😀

Sounds like you should be ok. On this model sometimes after the blocked chamber has been cleaned it can cause the machine to under fill causing heater failure. 22ohms is about right for heater.

yes, heater is fine then, would have been open circuit if faulty due to the pressure chamber being blocked.

Much appreciated.
