ParticipantCan anyone tell me how to access the ‘works’ to check on a water non filling problem. I’ve tried all that I can see but cannot get the panels off to see the valves etc. and diagnosis is difficult without seeing/measuring at the appropriate locations.
(Water is getting to the machine, by the way, and works fine if manually filled!)TIA

Bosch are the easiest appliances to remove side panels, if that has stumped you and without sounding to impolite you’re best not going any further as internal components are slightly harder to work out.

Thank you for your response Lee8, if a little unfair! 😕
I am a qualified engineer in instrumentation and the controls etc. are not going to be an issue.
You may say that the panels are the easiest to remove but certainly not as easy as my old Hoover! All visible screws are off but the panel still seems to be retained at top and bottom – in centre behind worktop lid and at base behind lower plastic panel 35 5399 (Bosch diagram). I do not wish to force anything and risk breaking/bending.
If it’s so easy please just give me a clue and I’ll take it from there!

Nope. I fear that will lead you to a path of unhappiness.

Lee8 cannot give you any clue as he has no idea himself.
Remove the lid first in order to remove the side panels. The lid latched into place at the back, simply unlatch the clips and slide the lid backwards to release.
Ignore further posts from lee8.

Thank you Martin for your help.
As you will read below I am of the same opinion. I will ignore Lee8 here as he was less than helpful and acting as if he is a moron. It is people like him that give the net a bad name.
For any one who really needs more detailed help to disassemble their Exxcel machine after much searching I found more pictorial info – see a different website that is very helpful http://wiki.diyfaq.org.uk/index.php?tit … her_repair to do that task.
No criticism of UK Whitegoods intended here as it is a great forum but only as good or bad as it’s contributors and sometimes the moderators need to take action, I suggest.

No l just judged you as incompetent. If that makes me the moron, so be it, l can live with that. Good luck with the repair.
