ParticipantHi…I’m after some urgent help please???! 😯
First machine is an Indesit WIXXE167 – Initial problem door locked but would not start cycle, and door lock light not lit. Put a new interlock on (C00085194), but still same problem. Replaced control module – similar problem but this time displays error ‘door’. Now I saw the tech bulletin
http://www.qualtexuk.com/content/Interlocks.pdf
regarding this interlock – and this is where I’m confused. Do I need to reverse the connector when using this interlock from Qualtex (QUAINT51) or not?? Could it be another faulty module or have I not connected the new interlock as I should as per the bulletin?? The connector block seems to only fit one way anyhow. If it is connected incorrectly has this damaged both or either the new interlock and module?
Then today had similar problem at a Hotpoint WDL540P – this time the door locked but could not start cycle, if tried to start the interlock just clicked away about 5 / 6 times. Fitted new interlock – again the C00085194/Quaint51 – now it locks but just flashes the door lock led, no clicking. Is this a module problem or is it because I should have modified the connection to the interlock?
Can’t believe I’ve had these two problems within a week, and never before in nearly 10 years. Any help gratefully received please.
Kindest regards, John. 🙂

lock connection fairly straight forwards. they have reversed connector but the numbers are the same ( 2,3 and 4 ) if old matches new all ok)
i am confused about the second one as you seem to have replaced a solenoid lock with a non solenoid one interlock should be int102 if it clicks as the 51 lock does not click
plus did you look at brushes ?

Ok that’s good info about first, thanks. I’ll check the numbers of course doh. The second, I perhaps have fitted a different lock as you say, will double check…what’s that about brushes though? Thanks for the quick answer I do appreciate it. John.

does it with a lot of machines went to a Beko earlier no start. switched off, reached underneath, gave brushes a wack with a screwdriver, turned on and away it went. diagnosis proved so changed brushes got paid and left
