Our dishwasher has started to make a rattling sound that on investigation was not due to any loose part. We took out all spray arms and baskets. Even when empty the noise persists.
When opening the machine mid cycle it appears that watet cones out of the bottom but is not delivered to the top section.
    What could be the issue?

Could well be the main wash pump faulty. Very common problem if you have the original ‘Askoll’ brand fitted. The impellor can strip or bearing wear causes pump to stutter.

Thanks, I checked other similar issues on this site and thought it might be. Probably not easy to fix so a call out required.
