    Hello,
I’m looking for a washer dryer that allows me to do a prewash, but which can be made to automatically stop after the prewash and add further washing. It’s for cloth nappies, which I’d like to get the worst off before adding shirts etc.. I can currently only find machines that continue automaticlly from prewash straight into main wash.
I would be open to using a short program instead of prewash if I could override the spin cycle with pump-out, but I’d rather not have to sit watching the drum to press cancel before an unnecessary spin kicks in.
Just to be pickier still, I’d like it with a dryer that is (broadly) temperature controllable!
I hope that all makes sense and that someone knows a model that fits.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Fiona

Fiona you bring to mind visions of soiled terry towelling nappies then add a few of your hubbies shirts into the soiled mix….yuck!

Firstly, nappies should always be washed separately on the hottest cycle after first being soaked overnight in sterilising powder. For hubbies shirts a far different cycle is needed for that and you will need to check the wash label on each shirt to determine the correct one. (e.g Cotton 60deg, Synthetic 40deg).

Again seperate dry cycles are required, see the care label on all garments as some CANNOT be tumble dried.

As for which make? The choice is yours, non of which do a Prewash that stops as far as I’m aware anyway.

That’s far too complicated for women. They need to make a machine that’ll wash everything, at the same time and have features for everyones needs.
