    Hi, got an FDL570 dishwasher which was flashing all lights and doing nothing but now doesnt power on at all.

    Suspect control board at fault.

    If it is the control board, then I will need to fit a new one which will need programming, but I’ve looked at the smart card readers and can’t find fdl570 listed on any of them?

    Is there any way to correctly identify the correct reader?

    I have a card reader already, which I used to successfully reprogram my WMD962PUK washing machine,

    Ariston, Hotpoint, Indesit, Cannon, Scholtes, C00272306 Smart Card Reader For 8KB 32KB

    It is listed as being for 8Kb?

    And the dishwasher smart card also looks to be 8Kb?

    So is the card reader compatible? As the dishwasher model is not listed as compatible with the card reader… But at the moment taking that with pinch of salt as I can’t find fdl570 listed as compatible on any card reader… But obviously it must be compatible with 1 of them lol so only thing I could say is smart card is 8kb and smart card reader says 8kb so the 2 should be compatible… Just can’t confirm it.

    Almost all of those models are on the compatible list for my smart card reader. I’d imagine the smart card reader is more module specific rather than model or programming specific.

    So case of it either can write to the module or it can’t and it must be able to in this case otherwise none of the models the module fits would be listed as compatible with my smart card reader.

    Smart card says 8KB and card reader I have is for 8KB so hopefully all fine.

    Tested heater, checked door switch, all good, installed new replacement module and can confirm smart card reader does indeed program this model of dishwasher and all working again now 🙂

    Might need the other control board as well though with the switches efc because only seems to be working on some modes, but it is working again and no error lights displayed 🙂 so hopefully all good.
