ParticipantWe are looking to replace our ancient and horrible performing Delonghi electric cooker with ceramic hob but only need and prefer a single oven, as long as this means the oven door is not as low as it is on the usual double oven offerings. We are quite prepared to pay for good quality if it is worth it- we are already pleased with our Miele washing machine and recently purchased Liebherr fridge freezer.
We ordered and payed for a Smeg SY6CPX8 Symphony from our local supplier a couple of months ago but unfortunately he was unable to get one from the company this side of the New Year so gave us a refund. He will get back to us if/when he can get one, but in the mean time has anyone got any other similar spec cookers to suggest? (Electric only).

OK so here are the alternatives I have found so far, it is not an easy task finding a single cavity electric oven with ceramic hob:
Gorenje EC67CLI ~ £620
INDESIT I6VV2AW ~ £330
Amica 608CE2TaW ~ £340
The Gorenje styling is a bit OTT and the Indesit looks like junk TBH. One possible plan is to go with a cheap one and hope it lasts for about 5 years when a new kitchen could be affordable with good quality built in ovens at just the right heights- is the Amica likely to last the distance?

Is this a spam post with all these links attached?

Not quite sure why you would jump to that conclusion as the links are all to different retailers. My intention was just to show how the pricing compares, but I will now remove them and replace with costs. I apologise if I broke a forum rule I failed to take note of.

I’d avoid the OTT one and the junk one and go for the Amica. It might well last 5 yrs then get that super new kitchen and bung in some good stuff like Neff.
