    Hi
This machine is just 5 yrs old with very little work done and the drum will not turn at all. It has all lights (4) on bottom of facia flashing. The lights on the side do not flash. I removed PCB board and removed and checked the caps for resistance/continunity and checked all caps for bulging, all appears fine.It has a 3 phase induction motor which has good resistance. The wiring harness from PCB board to motor has good continunity. There is power in the 2 red wires for the motor speed. The four black wires to the motor 2 of them are showing power in them. The machine will fill with water but will not go through any programme. It will drain the water when dial is turned to drain. The PCB board is like new with no corrosion or burn marks present. Door interlock also works as normal. I have spent a good few hours trying to find a fault with this hotpoint machine. Has any one any other suggestions ❓ ❓ Thank you

    Re: Hotpoint Aquarius WML 940

    Moved to correct forum.

First things first, five years is extremely good for this 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit machine. :rolls:

Secondly, what is the exact error code that is showing, ignore all the flashing lights and tell us which of the right hand, vertical lights are on steady by number, counting from bottom up.

That would be light 1 then?

Error code F01. Motor triac short circuit. If all wiring and motor is ok then the main pcb is faulty. Indesit electronics are some of the flakiest on the market sadly. 🙁

I though as much. We always bought Hotpoint appliances from the days of the old twintub. What a pity that a reliable good British Brand went under and was taken over by indesit. Hotpoints were generally not a bad machine and were easily repaired until more recent years. Many thanks for your help.
