    When I removed the drying load, I discovered this seal in amongst the clothes. After research I established what it is. Tube dryer still operates but presumably the seal served some purpose. Can I replace this myself?

    a lot depends on how you are at stripping and rebuilding appliances

    to replace seal the whole drum has to be removed

    Thanks Dave. That sounds little advanced for me 🙂
    Guess I’ll just keep using till it fails.
