hotpoint wd865a

Hi ive a wd865 washer/dryer its been ok at best up until the other week its started leaving the clothes still wet after the spin,but ok if spun twice, but also now seems to be leaving clothes wet after drying . the heater box heats up ok and ive taken off all the pipes and checked for any problems , ive cleaned the fluff filter. also the pump its all clear, and pumps ok. the strange thing seems to be from when the machine is tipped onto its side then re stood after it works fine, but as soon as its done a wash load theproblem seems to return …..any ideas anyone , the machine is about 7 1/2 yrs old
