ParticipantHas anyone found the ideal table to use to slide and work on built in ovens? fold down would be ideal, iv been looking on google but theirs not much on offer, height adjustable would be brill…. the table i use is an old card table iv painted and it looks dismal i use it for single ovens and the legs hold out ok but not ideal… would love something that looks the part and holds out well, maybe a jack-able close to the floor for double ovens to slide out at any height and raise to working height i bet i have no chance….

I have an ex mfi designed table it is perfect as it has adjustment for all kitchen instalation heights.
It may be worth contacting AWS to see if they sell them.

I’ve had an old Hotpoint one for years which always gets the card table comments as the top is green. Tubular lags, 3 position. occasionally have problems with ovens fitted for the vertically challenged but ace for most.

In all seriousness Lee, that is a neat system. Could you please tell us the approximate cost of such a unit?

Between £250-£300 depending on your build specific. The ability of the base to slide in and out of a vehicle on and off the base works well, for me well worth the cost.

This link to online ordering. Although it takes you to the pneumatic wheel type which is expensive. Give them a ring and get an accurate price for the basic wheel and base.December 22, 2014 at 12:25 am #422843simonb
